Yn gyntaf oll yr wyf yn gwerthfawrogi y teitl maent wedi rhoi eu arddangosfa, mae'n eithaf bachog dymunol ac yn weledol. Re: camau oedd yr arddangosfa gyntaf ac yn bersonol, byddwn yn dweud ei fod wedi cael y gwaith celf mwyaf ballsy. Tri perfformiadau, yn Wolstenholme. Mae gan y tri perfformiadau wedi nodweddion cryf, mae'r gofod yn wych, ac yn canmol y tair gwaith, bron yn rhoi teimlo iasol i'r arddangosfa. (Roedd yna hefyd bwyd am ddim, sydd bob amser yn croesawu) Gan fod pob un o'r tri artist yn cael yn y rhan fwyaf o fy sesiynau tiwtorial ac ati yr oedd yn braf gweld y tri perfformiadau gwblhau a pherfformio mewn gofod oriel. Roedd yn arddangosfa lwyddiannus ac roeddent yn ddewr iawn i atal ymddygiad difrifol a phroffesiynol o'r fath o dan amgylchiadau o'r fath.
First of all I appreciate the title they’ve given their exhibition, it’s quite catchy and the poster is visually pleasing. Re:action was the first exhibition of the year and personally I would say it was the most ballsy, having three live performances, all with extraordinary concepts. This exhibtion was in Wolstenholme, the space was great and I feel it complimented all three works. The set up of each performance combining with the space produced an eerie ambience. As all three artists are in most of my tutorials it was nice to see these three performances completed and performing in a gallery space. It was a successful exhibition and they were very brave to withhold such serious and professional behaviour under such circumstances.(There was also free food which is always welcome)
Introspective was an exhibition held by nine students. Visually the poster is captivating and instantly makes me interested in the exhibition. The exhibition had a range of different media, mainly consisted of installations. I thought the space was disguised well and I couldn’t tell it was the student union once I was amongst the atmosphere. As all works were situated in offices it could come across quite formal and cold, but maybe because the work was quite engaging I didn’t feel this perception. There were some strong concepts in some of the work that was displayed,all very different and coexisted together as a group well.

Yr wyf yn gwerthfawrogi delweddau a thestun ei wneud 'n glws, rwy'n teimlo gall effeithio ar ganfyddiad yr unigolyn, mae'n debyg ei fod yn barnu llyfr gan ei glawr, yn yr achos hwn, dydw i ddim psyched' n sylweddol ar gyfer y poster, ar eu golwg, fi dont credu ei fod yn mynegi bersonoliaeth fawr neu gymeriad, gallai hyn ychydig yn swnio'n rhefrol ond mae ei rhywbeth yr wyf yn sylwi mewn unrhyw hysbyseb ac yn enwedig unrhyw ddigwyddiad sy'n seiliedig ar gelf. Yn fy marn i, yr arddangosfa Perthynas Roedd yn dipyn o her o'r cychwyn cyntaf, yr oedd yn agored i nifer o artistiaid a oedd y grŵp mwyaf i arddangos. Gallai hyn fod yn beth da i rai ac yn anfantais i bobl eraill. Yr wyf yn teimlo y bydd 'perthynas' y thema yn denu ystod eang o waith a chysyniadau, ac yn gyfle da i unrhyw un sydd â diddordeb i arddangos rhywfaint o waith, yn enwedig pe bai wedi'i threfnu gan y brifysgol, pam na wnewch! Roedd cymysgedd da o gyfryngau yn yr arddangosfa, mae rhai paentiadau, gwaith cerfluniol a rhai ffotograffiaeth. Mae'r gofod yn fawr, ac rwy'n credu ei fod yn beth cadarnhaol fod yna gymaint o arddangos, fel arall byddai wedi edrych ychydig yn brin. Yn bersonol Nid wyf yn meddwl y byddai fy ngwaith yn eistedd yn gyfforddus yn y fath gofod mawr gyda agored o'r fath, fel fy ngwaith yn agos iawn, yr wyf yn meddwl y byddai'n colli ei holl golygu os cafodd ei arddangos yn y fath le. Ar y cyfan, rwy'n rhyfeddu at ba mor dda y maent yn gweithio fel tîm, mae'n must've bod yn her i weithio gyda cymaint o bobl ac yn gyffredinol roedd yn arddangosfa dda.
In any advertisment, I appreciate images and text to be nicely executed, I feel it can affect a person’s perception, I guess it’s judging a book by its cover and maybe it’s because I have slight ocd.I feel, visually,the poster for the exhibition is lacking personality and character, it doesn't unveil much about the exhibition or the work that is being shown there. In my opinion, the Relationship exhibition had a bit of a challenge. It was open to a number of artists and was the largest group to exhibit. This could be a good thing for some and a disadvantage for others. I feel the theme ‘relationship’ is a desirable theme and will attract a wide range of works and concepts, it's a good opportunity to anyone interested to display some work, especially if it had been organized by the university. There was a good mixture of media in the exhibition, some paintings, sculptural work and some photography. I found some works really interesting and caught my attention. This space was large, and I think it was a essential that there were so many exhibiting, otherwise it would’ve looked a bit sparse. Personally I don’t think my work would sit comfortable in such a large space and with it being so exposed, as my work is very intimate, I think it would lose all its meaning if it was exhibited in such a space. Overall, I'm impressed with how well they worked as a team, it must've been difficult to organize such a large group of people and I feel they accomplished that.
Cofroddion yr arddangosfa oedd yn brofiad gwahanol i'r arddangosfeydd blaenorol, rwyf wedi bod yn bresennol. Mae'r arddangosfa hon wedi ei leoli yn Pip tŷ yn Edge Lane. Maent yn trosi yr ystafell fyw i mewn i sinema fach a oedd yn arddangos Matt's ffilmiau a'r ystafell fwyta wedi ei haddurno ac fe'i defnyddiwyd ar gyfer Pip's installation. Mae'r ddwy ystafell gweithio'n dda gyda'r cysyniad o ddwy waith. Yr wyf yn gwerthfawrogi gwaith a aeth i mewn i Pip's installation a'r ymdrech a roddwyd i greu awyrgylch o beth yr oedd yn ceisio ei gyfleu. Rwy'n teimlo Matt osod yr ystafell fyw am ei ffilmiau yn effeithiol iawn, math o wneud yn debyg i gartref sinema, soffas i slouch ar a phob ffocws a sylw oedd ar y sgrin fawr o'ch blaen taflunio delweddau gweledol ysgogol. Maent yn ffrindiau agos i mi felly y digwyddiad oedd yn fwy pleserus, yr oedd yn teimlo'n oer allan gyda'r nos darparu coelcerth, cacennau ac alcohol, pob un ohonynt yn gweithio'n effeithiol ac yn fwy fy olygfa yn hytrach na rhywbeth ychydig yn fwy proffesiynol. Rwy'n teimlo y math o achlysuron lle celf ac unigolion yn meddwl agored casglu at ei gilydd dylai fod mwy o wybodaeth am sgwrsio mewn amgylchedd mwy a osodwyd yn ôl. Fe wnes i fwynhau Matt's ffilmiau; eu bod yn syth i'r parth allan i, wrth wrando ar synau melodig. Roeddwn i'n meddwl ei fod yn gysyniad hollol syth ymlaen, os ydych yn ceisio ei gymhlethu Rwy'n credu y gallai fod yn dod ar draws ychydig yn rhodresgar. The Mementos exhibition was quite a different experience to the previous exhibitions I had attended. This exhibition was situated in Pip’s house in Edge Lane. They converted two rooms in the house, the living room was turned into a small cinema that was showcasing Matt’s films and the dining room had been decorated and disguised and was used for Pip’s installation. Both rooms worked well with the concepts of each work. I could recognize the work that went into Pip’s installation and the effort that was put into create the atmosphere that she was trying to convey and felt the execution was tastefully done. I thought that Matt set up the living room very efficiently, kind of making it like a home cinema, couches to slouch on and all focus and attention was on the big screen in front of you engrossing you in the visually stimulating images. They are close friends of mine so the event was pleasurable, there was a chilled out feel with the evening providing a bonfire, cakes and alcohol, all of which created a comfortable ambience, this easy going atmosphere is more my scene rather than something a bit more professional. I feel these kind of occasions where art and open minded individuals gather together should be more about conversing in a more laid back environment.
I enjoyed Matt’s films; they were to zone out to whilst immersing in the melodic sounds and visual vivid motions. I thought it was quite a straight forward concept, if you tried to complicate it I think it could come across slightly pretentious. The music reminded me of Boards of Canada, especially the second film where you hear snippets of recordings of children's voices. This was very effective and I was into it. I appreciated Pip’s commitment to her work, the time consuming pieces and specific little details in the installation that have a particular importance, the placement of things and the amount of research it must’ve taken to accomplish the overall effect. When I stepped into the space I got a strange vibe, it felt like I had stepped back in time, I think lighting had a lot to do with this as well as how silent it was in the room. It was an enjoyable event and oozed a friendly atmosphere.
