“Franz Liszt claimed to experience synaethesia and that he imagined colours upon hearing music. This notion stimulated young local artist Jessica Balla to work with nine Welsh musicians, looking at the connection between a musician’s imagination and his music and create a film that is homage to this synthesis.”
I attended the opening event of Jessica Balla’s exhibition on Friday, ‘Ymdeimlad o Sain’, ‘The Sense of Sound’. Jess is like a sister to me and I’m very proud of her accomplishment and having her first major exhibition in a well known gallery in North Wales. Da iawn wir little rat!
With music by Danny Cattell, this film is awe inspiring and I urge anyone to go and visit this exhibition in Oriel Mostyn, Llandudno, North Wales.
